We caravaned up to Owl's Head, Maine with the Goldsmiths to visit an ex-neighbor friend of theirs now living there. Mike was originally from this town and he was elated to be back. He was an excellent host.
We took our new sidecar rig on a twelve-thousand mile trip to celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary and my fiftieth year of being in this country. We made it to Vancouver, BC before heading back home.
We set out to visit the Florida Keys via Tennessee to visit our friends Ron and Deb. Then we slayed the "Dragon", found the Natchez Trace and ended up in steamy New Orleans. We visited the Barber motorcycle museum on the way home.
Steve and I had many camping experiences over the years. The very first one was to Watkins Glen, he on his 450 Suzuki and I an my 550 Yamaha. It was a low-budget trip wrapping our camping stuff in plastic garbage bags.
